  • Every major boss battle has been revamped to include Pokemon from all generations and include some more type diversity, with the difficulty ramped up a bit.
  • Every single Pokemon has recieved a curated moveset and many pokemon recieved stat buffs, type changes and ability changes. (With my personal rule of rebalancing being no fully evolved Pokemon should have less than 430 BST)
  • Every single area has recieved rebalanced encounter tables, with some areas getting wild encounters that didn’t have them before.
  • Expanded Postgame in the sevii islands with every fight there being much more difficult with many new boss battles in the postgame, including new Gym Leader Rematches on Seven Island!
  • All moves have been rebalanced, with many new moves being introduced aswell as moves from newer generations being brought back.
  • Ability to view your teams EVS/IVS/Happiness/Hidden and Secret Power Types by simply pressing A on their stat screen in the summary!
  • Some healing items and berries being rebalanced to make them much more impactful at all stages of the game.
  • Shiny rate is 1/1000
  • Resprited overworld map and Pokemon Sprites, including new trainer sprites for boss battles.

Changelog

v2.1: Challenge Mode hotfix addressing early game difficulty.

  • Pallet Town and Viridian City wild encounters now accessible without Cut. (CHALLENGE MODE)
  • Repels added to Viridian City Pokemart for convenience. (CHALLENGE MODE)
  • Early game balance adjusted to be less encounter dependent. (CHALLENGE MODE)
  • General quality of life improvements.

v2.0

  • Some final Pokmon balancing, ironing out some last changes I wanted to make.
  • Experience Shares purchasable alongside Rare Candies in Viridian Cities Pokemart for people who want to grind.
  • Legendary Guardian minibosses blocking all legendaries obtainable before the Elite 4, without sequence breaking.
  • Healer Mid way through victory road. (CHALLENGE MODE)
  • Added a few more route bosses. (CHALLENGE MODE)
  • All Gym Trainers are now mandatory with full teams. (CHALLENGE MODE)
  • Some Gym Teams and Elite 4/Champion Reworked. (CHALLENGE MODE)

V1.6 – Roaring Red Challenge Mode is officially here!

This is a separate patch of the game intended to replace the patch for regular mode. The difficulty is much more akin to a difficulty hack, some things to know:

  • Each Gym Leader has 6 Pokémon, and include much more diverse teams and strategies (with some leaders even having Legendary Pokémon as you go on)
  • Most Routes will end with a “Route Boss” that will block progression until you beat them, these trainers have difficulty much like the regular boss fights
  • There are still no ways to perfect IV’s or change natures, you will be rolling with the Pokémon you catch!
  • Challenge mode can be played casually as a more difficult experience but will be especially challenging to nuzlocke I think!

v1.6

Apologies for the sudden patch, was going to push it when challenge mode was done but it turns out the new mandatory fight was broken 😭
All fixed now and added the things I was planning to add when challenge mode releases at some point. Challenge mode is beginning work starting from now.

  • Fixed massive bug with jesse and james not moving after beating them infront of the safari zone by moving them inside the gate
  • Grass patches added to Celadon and Saffron City
  • Changed machops evolution level to match the other trade evos
  • Gave golduck psychic by tm like it should have had (aswell as shadow ball for funsies)
  • Added an indicator on your hall of fame as to what version and patch you are playing
Previous Version’s Changelog

Version 1.5

This patch adds a few fun postgame battles with some cool cameos and one new mandatory main game fight against a certain duo who likes to blast off at the speed of light. A few Pokemon recieved some adjustments and a couple of signature moves were reworked. A handful of bugs were fixed and this has set the groundwork for work on challenge mode to begin.

  • Fixed sprite issue on route 1
  • Tweaked opening sequence slightly
  • Fixed Deoxys Sprite Bug
  • Some Pokemon recieved some new level up moves (Nidoking, Nidoqueen, Blastoise, Farfetch’d, Gengar Line, Typhlosion, Milotic,
  • Chimeco changed to Psychic/Steel
  • Changed Voltorb/Electrodes 2nd Ability from Static to Levitate
  • Given Tyranitar line a second ability in Rough Skin
  • Fixed a few trainers who were mentioned to have the wrong trainer sprite (Please tell me if any more are spotted!)
  • Made the Salesman in the Pokemon League who sells the choice items/leftovers sat at the table below the mart
  • Transform given priority of +3 (ditto viable maybe?)
  • Grass Whistle reworked into a cool sig move for roselia (70 BP, 10% Omni Stat Boost Chance)
  • Present reworked into a cool sig move for delibird (80 BP, 30% chance to freeze, paralyse or burn)
  • Rebalanced all evolution levels
  • Remove swift on mistys starmie (no more infinite coverage for the second gym)
  • Added a new mandatory boss fight into the game outside the safari zone
  • Added a handful of new postgame battles

Version 1.4

This patch updates every generic trainer sprite to be updated to fit the more modern spritework of everything else, using sprites by the fantastic kyledove available on the pokemon showdown trainer sprite archive. A few Pokemon recieved some balance adjustments and a few move tweaks.
Finally, EV training items are cheaper now! Also the Pokemon Tower is now in the encounter docs (sorry…).

Version 1.2

Very important patch to push fixing a major issue where you cannot fight the Pokémon league due to “Lorelei being missing” (caused by it thinking your in the postgame due to the national dex being given at the beginning)

  • Fixed Map Issues with Five Islands’s Water Labyrinth
  • Fixed Map Issues with Seven Island
  • Fixed Pokemon Lab on Cinnabar Island not having wild encounters when it should
  • Fixed Not Being able to enter the Pokemon League due to beginning with the national dex

Version 1.1

  • Changed it so you begin with the national dex now, enabling those pokemon to HOPEFULLY count towards pokedex aide tasks alongside the postgame being accessed much easier
  • Fixed some fences you should not be able to walk on
  • Hopefully fixed the clipping issues with fences(??)
  • A handful of Pokémon changes ( yanma bug dragon and stat buffs, Piloswine getting thick fat as a second ability, jynx bst brought up to match electabuzz and magmar, masquerain getting surf, beautifly changed to bug/fairy)
