Intro
What if the player started off working for the evil team in their region but later decided to turn against them instead of battling them from the start? That’s the idea behind Pokemon Willpower. While other fan games might explore similar themes, this is my unique take. The game was made using the Pokemon Essentials v21.1 toolkit.
Backstory
The player and their childhood friend, Hazel, had a tough time growing up without a home and resorted to stealing to get by. Eventually, they were taken in by Professor Beech, the most respected professor in the Senoden region. In exchange for a place to stay, they helped him with his research on Pokemon and items like the Master Ball. Others who lived in Merton Town also assisted him, and together they formed a group that became known as Team Promeno.
However, things changed when an accident in Professor Beech’s lab made Hazel and the player suspicious of him. They left Team Promeno and went back to stealing to survive. But their luck ran out during one of their heists when the police caught them. Just then, Professor Beech appeared and welcomed them back to Team Promeno. And that’s where our story begins.

Progress
I’ve finished all 8 gyms, the Pokemon League, and the postgame battles. What’s left? Hopefully nothing, but there might still be some bugs or typos I missed, so this might not be the final version of the game.
