Description
Pokemon Contemporary Emerald is a customized version of Pokemon Emerald built using pokeemerald and the pokeemerald-expansion. It features a refreshed visual style inspired by ORAS-style tilesets (originally created by leob0505), along with numerous quality-of-life improvements and gameplay enhancements.
Approximately 125 Pokemon families from later generations have been added to expand the variety of available Pokemon in the Hoenn region. These additions aim to diversify team-building options and provide a new experience for those familiar with the original game. The project also includes features made possible through the decomps, such as the ability to change natures and abilities.
For players who prefer a more traditional experience, a VANILLA version is also available. This version retains all the quality-of-life improvements and updated movesets but does not include any new Pokemon beyond the original Emerald roster.

Known Bugs
- Few tileset bugs on certain doors. Don’t have time to learn and fix it right now
- Trying to implement new TM’s is proving challenging as pokemon who should learn the TM’s cannot
Version Differences:
Standard Version
Includes new Pokemon from across all generations and updated wild encounters, offering a refreshed and expanded experience in Hoenn.
VANILLA Version
Retains the original Emerald Pokemon roster and encounters, but includes all other enhancements such as modern movesets, ability and nature changers, battle mechanics, and quality-of-life improvements.
