Description

Pokemon Gleaming Emerald is a better version of the original Emerald game. It tries to make Emerald even better without changing everything. It’s a simpler hack, so don’t expect huge changes to the entire game.

Features

  • The Pokédex now includes 250 Pokémon.
  • Enemy Trainers are tougher with improved IVs, levels, AI, and teams.
  • Many Pokémon have stronger base stats, some gain new abilities and types, and evolution methods are adjusted.
  • Pokémon’s level-up moves are updated, but only those in the expanded Pokédex.
  • Pokémon in the Dex no longer give EVs, making the game harder. Vitamins are only found on the ground, and there’s an EV grinding area in the Battle Frontier.
  • Wild Pokémon are changed to help complete the Pokédex.
  • All Event Islands are accessible from a building in the Battle Frontier.
  • Fallarbor Town Pokémart sells Evolution Stones, and Battle Frontier has vendors selling TMs and Held Items.
  • Story dialogue improves after the second Maxie battle.
  • 11 new Pokémon are added, along with 7 moves from future games and a new move, Dune Splash.
  • Dark and Ghost moves now deal neutral damage to Steel types.
  • The Oldale Pokémart sells Rare Candies.
