Description
The rom hack “Pokémon Unknown” is based on Pokémon FireRed and It is designed to give you a different and more surprising experience. In this game, all battles and meetings with Pokémon are unpredictable, just like in competitive battles.
Every time you encounter a wild Pokémon, battle a trainer, or receive a gift Pokémon, it’ll be a surprise. This means their strength and types are chosen randomly, but within the rules of the original FireRed game. So, you won’t find super strong or legendary Pokémon in the grass right at the start.
We’ve also made other changes to add to the randomness, like mixing up which starter Pokémon you can choose from, changing the Pokémon you get as gifts, and adding new powerful forms for some Pokémon.
This makes the game fun to play again and again, tougher than the original, but still fairer than other random versions of Pokémon games.
And a big thanks to the DPE and CFRU teams for making Pokemon Unknown possible!
